Fitter Apprenticeship
n
Ready to take the first step towards an exciting and rewarding career?

As an Apprentice Fitter at Porta Products, you'll work alongside experienced tradespeople and industry experts while learning the skills required to become a qualified Fitter.
n
This is a hands-on opportunity to develop practical trade skills in a modern manufacturing environment, working with advanced automation, robotics, control systems and leading edge technology.
n
As you progress through your apprenticeship, you'll complete nationally recognised trade training while gaining invaluable workplace experience and earning above-award apprentice wages.
n
About You
n
We're looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are ready to begin their career in the engineering trade. Ideally, you will have:
n
n
- Completed year 12 or be nearing completion
n
- Commenced or completed a Certificate II in Engineering (mechanical or fabrication)
n
- Completed work experience in an engineering trade, engineering or manufacturing environment
n
- A genuine interest in technology, machinery and how things work
n
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills, including the ability to read technical documentation, follow instructions and perform measurements and calculations accurately
n
- Demonstrated commitment through school, sport, part-time work, volunteering or community involvement
n
- A solid attendance record, reliability and a positive attitude towards learning
n
- A willingness to embrace new challenges and work safely as part of a team
n
n
Most importantly, you are motivated to learn, take inititiative and build the skills needed for a successful trade career.
n
As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment which includes functional, audiometric, drug and alcohol testing.
n
