We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanical Fitter to support the reliability and performance of our production lines. This hands‐on role operates within a dynamic manufacturing setting, offering the opportunity to work both autonomously and collaboratively with cross‐functional teams while contributing to continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and production lines
n
- Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment
n
- Repair and replace machine components including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and packaging equipment
n
- Diagnose mechanical faults and respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime
n
- Complete maintenance tasks and record work in the CMMS system
n
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability
n
- Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, GMP, and HACCP standards
n
- Assist with ordering parts and maintaining critical spares
n
- Communicate effectively with production and maintenance teams
n
- Provide after‐hours/on‐call support as required
n

About You
n
n
- Trade‐qualified Mechanical Fitter or other similar trade
n
- Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
n
- Experience in the beverage industry is highly regarded
n
- Strong mechanical fault‐finding and problem‐solving skills
n
- Hands‐on approach with the ability to work independently and within a team
n
- Comfortable working in a fast‐paced production environment
n
- Robust communication skills and attention to detail
n
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
n
- Forklift licence and EWP (highly advantageous) or willingness to obtain
n
- Stainless Steel Tig Welding (highly desirable)
n

- This role is 5 days per week onsite in Melbourne's Western Suburbs
n
- Due to limited public transport access, an own vehicle is preferred
