Hands on maintenance and installation role based in Mount Isa. Your new role We are seeking a hands on and community focused Home Modifications & Maintenance Technician to join our team. We're seeking a practical and community minded Maintenance Technician to carry out a range of home modifications, installations and repairs across North West Queensland. This role is ideal for someone from a trade, maintenance, fabrication, handyman or workshop background who enjoys variety and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

n

- Installing grab rails, ramps, handrails and access solutions
n
- Installing interconnected smoke alarm systems
n
- General home maintenance and repair work
n
- Replacing taps, washers and door locks
n
- Realigning doors and completing minor carpentry tasks
n
- Reading drawings and plans
n
- Liaising professionally with clients and stakeholders
n




- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
n

What you'll need to succeed

n
- Trade qualification or strong maintenance background
n
- Current QLD Driver's Licence
n
- Current Blue Card
n
- Current Federal Police Check
n
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
n
- Robust communication skills
n
- Comfortable travelling throughout the North West region
n
- Welding experience highly regarded
n
- Workshop or fabrication experience highly desirable
