Position Overview - More Than a Shift. A Chance to Make a Difference.As a Casual Residential Youth Worker with HCA, you'll support children and young people living in out-of-home care, helping them feel protected, supported and valued. We're looking for compassionate, resilient and reliable Youth Workers who can build trust, navigate challenging situations and make a positive impact.

What You'll Do

n

n
- Build trusted relationships and create a safe, supportive environment.
n
- Support daily living, including personal care, meals and hygiene.
n




- Help young people engage in school, appointments and community activities.
n
- Promote emotional regulation, independence and positive social connections.
n
- Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
n
- Support complex behaviours using trauma-informed and TCI approaches.
n
- Complete Trauma Recovery Framework and TCI training within three months.
n
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver individual support plans.
n
- Prioritise wellbeing through supervision, reflection and self-care.
n

We're Looking ForWe're looking for people who bring compassion, resilience and the right attitude to every shift.
n To join our team, you'll need:

n

n
- Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Social Work, Disability Support Work or similar - or be studying towards one
n
- Ideally 6+ months' residential youth work experience or strong transferable skills
n
- Open Australian Driver's Licence
n
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
n
- Current First Aid & CPR
n
- Police Check
n
- LCS2 Check- desirable, or willingness to obtain
n
