About the role

n

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking an experienced and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our Patient Care - Inpatient Unit in a Part Time 12-month maximum term parental leave cover, working 32 hours per week.

n

Thispositionwill involve working 24/7 rotating rostered shifts including early, late, night and weekend shifts.

n

Based at our Springfield campus, this position is a part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield - recently opened in 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it's set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.

Salary range: $37.93 - $40.34 per hourplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!

What you'll be doing

n

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the wider healthcare team to deliver exceptional inpatient care.

n

- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care within your scope of practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse
n
- Conduct patient observations, assessments and nursing interventions, escalating concerns as required
n
- Support patients through treatment, procedures and recovery
n
- Assist with care planning, discharge planning and health education activities
n
- Advocate for patients and families, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout their care
n
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality and safety initiatives
n
- Collaborate effectively with medical,



nursing and allied health professionals to achieve positive patient outcomes
n
- Contribute to a positive team culture and support the learning and development of students and new staff
n

About you

n

The successful applicant will be self-motivated, self-starter who can work collaboratively with other speciality representatives to achieve a common goal. Further, you will be committed to providing quality care and service to patients and their families.

n

- Current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
n
- Demonstrated clinical nursing experience, ideally within acute care or a related specialty
n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
n
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
n
- Commitment to delivering safe, patient-centred care and achieving positive clinical outcomes
n
- Sound clinical assessment and problem-solving skills within scope of practice
n
- Understanding of quality, safety and infection prevention principles
n
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
n
- Availability to work a rotating roster across a 24/7 service as required
n
