End User Desktop Support – FIFO Role

6-Month Contract | Likely to Extend | FIFO – South Australia

We are seeking an End User Desktop Support professional to provide hands-on IT support at a remote mining site. This is a FIFO position with a 1 week on / 1 week off roster.

FIFO & Roster

n

- Location: SA
n
- Roster: 1 week at site / 1 week off in Adelaide
n
- Shift: Thursday to Wednesday
n
- Hours: 12-hour shift
n

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide onsite Level 1 IT and desktop support
n
- Build, configure and deploy laptops and other IT hardware
n
- Troubleshoot desktop hardware, applications and connectivity issues
n
- Provide onsite Unified Communications and meeting room support
n
- Support desktop applications and assist users with technical queries
n
- Provide Guest Network support
n
- Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests through ServiceNow/Service Desk
n
- Track incidents through to resolution with resolver teams
n
- Provide face-to-face updates to onsite users
n
- Perform daily meeting room and technology diagnostic checks
n
- Coordinate printer hardware, consumables and third-party maintenance
n
- Manage hardware failures, replacement parts and physical hardware installation
n




- Maintain IT asset records and onsite equipment
n
- Perform other onsite IT support duties as required
n

About You

n

n
- Experience in Desktop Support / Service Desk / IT Support
n
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and applications
n
- Comfortable providing face-to-face onsite support
n
- Experience with laptops, printers, meeting room technology and network connectivity
n
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
n
- Robust communication and customer service skills
n
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts in a FIFO mining environment
n
- Previous experience in a remote/site-based or mining environment is highly regarded
n

FIFO experience is preferred, but strong desktop support candidates with the right technical skills will also be considered.
