Cleaning Manager Job Overview

The Team Leader / Site Lead is responsible for coordinating the day‑to‑day activities of a cleaning team while ensuring all scheduled services are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This role involves supervising cleaners on‑site, allocating daily tasks, monitoring productivity, conducting quality checks, and acting as the first point of contact for both team members and clients. Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise commercial cleaning teams across assigned client sites.
- Allocate daily cleaning duties and monitor task completion.
- Perform commercial cleaning alongside team members when required.
- Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure cleaning standards are consistently achieved.
- Train and mentor new employees in company procedures and safe work practices.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and used correctly.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning chemicals and consumable supplies.
- Report maintenance issues, equipment faults, or workplace hazards promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding service delivery and special requests.
- Complete site reports, inspection checklists, and operational documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies.




- Assist with staff scheduling and shift coordination.
- Support Operations Managers during audits and client inspections.
- Address minor operational issues before they escape.
