Our client is an established, highly respected, local residential construction business based in Newcastle.

They are looking for a Draftsperson with 2-3 years' experience, or a Designer with solid practical experience, to join their team and take the next step in their career.

About the Role:

n

Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for developing residential projects from customer briefs and initial sales sketches through to detailed working drawings.

n

n
- Interpreting customer briefs and sales sketches accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
n
- Producing full sets of working drawings at various stages of the process using ArchiCAD
n
- Ensuring drawings comply with relevant Council Development Control Plans (DCPs) and the NSW Complying Development Code (CDC)
n
- Following established company processes and systems
n
- Working efficiently within a small team to maintain quality standards, achieve targets, and meet project timelines
n

About You:

n

n




- Proficiency in ArchiCAD is essential
n
- Relevant degree in Architecture, Building Design, or a related discipline
n
- 2 -3 years' experience working as a Draftsperson, or reasonable experience in a Design role
n
- The ability to interpret and apply Development Control Plans and the NSW Complying Development Code
n
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
- The ability to interpret drawings conceptually and translate briefs into practical designs
n
- Strong problem-solving skills
n
- A willingness to contribute to a small team and support others
n
- The ability to work to deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work
n
