The Opportunity

Are you a skilled Diesel Fitter with a passion for maintaining heavy mining equipment and delivering safe, reliable performance? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Diesel Fitters to join our high-performing team at Caval Ridge Mine, located in the Bowen Basin, Queensland.

As a key member of the Caval Ridge maintenance team, you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment, supporting safe and efficient mining operations while contributing to a strong team culture.

As the Diesel Fitter, you will

- Maintain, repair and service a range of heavy earthmoving and mobile plant equipment in accordance with Thiess and industry standards.
- Perform diagnostic fault finding, breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
- Follow site safety procedures, complete maintenance documentation accurately and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

- Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification.
- Post-trade experience within the mining or heavy earthmoving industry.
- Experience undertaking breakdown repairs, servicing, component change-outs and general maintenance on mining equipment.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Strong troubleshooting,



diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork and maintaining high work standards.
