As the Purchasing Manager you'll be working within a fast-paced Sales & Purchasing department, where you will be responsible for leading the purchasing function, developing a high-performing team, managing stock and supplier relationships, and ensuring purchasing strategies support wider business objectives.

n

We're looking for a confident and approachable Purchasing Manager who enjoys developing people, building solid supplier partnerships and driving continuous improvement.

n

Responsibilities as the Purchasing Manager:

n

- Lead, motivate and develop the Purchasing team, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement.
n
- Take full accountability for the purchasing function, stock control and team output.
n
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
n
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate favourable terms and review supplier performance.
n




- Oversee stock purchasing from both parent company and third-party suppliers.
n
- Manage import procedures and ensure efficient stock availability.
n
- Work closely with the Logistics team to coordinate transport, warehouse capacity and incoming stock.
n

The successful Purchasing Manager will have:

n

n
- Previous experience in a Purchasing Manager or similar leadership role.
n
- Proven experience managing and developing teams within a purchasing or supply chain environment.
n
- Knowledge of purchasing, stock management, logistics and transport coordination.
n
- Experience of import procedures and supplier management.
n
- A successful track record of negotiating with suppliers.
n
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across all areas of the business.
