Experienced Registered Practice nurse, previously worked in GP practice. Must be living in the Hunter/Lake Macquarie Area

We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic, compassionate, and experienced Registered nurse to join our fully accredited, well-established, and dedicated general practice, located at waterfront overlooking the beautiful Lake Macquarie. The position is set to commence on 1 September 2025

n

As a Practice Nurse, you will work closely with our GPs and medical team to provide high-quality patient care in a busy GP clinic environment. Strong computer skills are essential, and knowledge of Best Practice software is highly desirable.

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

- Cold Chain Management and Vaccine Fridge Management
n
- Ordering and Restocking Vaccines
n
- Health Assessments & Care Plan Development
n
- Cervical Screening Tests (CST), including self-collection CST
n
- ECGs and IVC
n
- Implementing and Supervising Infection Control Policies & Protocols
n
- Ordering and Maintenance of Clinical Supplies
n




- Maintenance of Clinical Equipment Registers
n
- Assisting with Observations, Emergencies, and Clinical Triaging
n
- Excellent Organisational & Time Management Skills
n
- Strong Interpersonal Skills to Engage with Patients of All Ages and Ethnicities
n
- Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team
n
- Flexibility to Assist with Holiday Relief
n

Qualifications & Requirement

n
- Current AHPRA Registration
n
- Robust Computer Skills with Best Practice
n
- Immunisation & Cold Chain Management Certificate required
n
- Well Women's Health Check (CST) Certificate required
n
- Current CPR Certificate
n
- Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
n

Remuneration:

n
- Hourly Rate: $45 to $50 or higher per hour (as per AMA Award or above, depending on experience and qualifications). This job is for local experience nurses with AHPRA registration numbers. Overseas do not to apply
