About the Role
n
Canberra Grammar School is seeking an experienced, detail-focused and service-driven Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our collaborative Finance team.
n
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the School's accounts receivable function, supporting the financial operations of both Canberra Grammar School and the CGS Foundation.
n
This is more than a transactional finance role. You will build trusted relationships with families, colleagues and external stakeholders, ensuring every interaction is handled with accuracy, professionalism and care.
n
As a key member of the Whole School Finance Team, you will:
n
n
- Manage the accurate and timely billing, receipting and collection of School fees and other revenue
n
- Oversee fee administration, debtor management, reconciliations and reporting
n
- Provide responsive and professional support to families and stakeholders
n
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures
n
- Identify opportunities to strengthen systems, processes and service delivery
n
- Contribute to broader Finance team priorities and continuous improvement initiatives
n
n

About You
n
You are organised, approachable and confident working in a busy financial environment. You bring sound judgement, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive financial matters with discretion and empathy.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
- Experience in accounts receivable, fee administration or a similar finance role
n
- A relevant tertiary qualification
n
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
n
- Confidence using financial systems and a range of digital applications
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
- The ability to collaborate effectively and contribute positively to a team environment
n

- A current National Police Check; and
n
