Maintenance Fitter / Maintenance Technician

Tasty One is a leading Australian-owned food manufacturer supplying fresh produce to major retailers across Australia. Operating from our modern facility in Melbourne's west, we're looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter / Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys diagnosing faults, solving problems and keeping production equipment running efficiently. If you're mechanically minded with some electrical fault-finding experience, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of food processing and packaging equipment to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.

- Responding to mechanical breakdowns and production equipment faults
n
- Performing preventative and reactive maintenance
n
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and assisting with electrical fault finding
n
- Maintaining motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatic and automated equipment
n
- Replacing components including sensors, switches and motors
n
- Assisting with installation and commissioning of recent equipment
n




- Completing maintenance documentation and records
n
- Working safely and contributing to a strong safety culture
n

About You

n

n
- Experience maintaining manufacturing or production equipment
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
n
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
n
- Experience working with motors, conveyors, pumps and pneumatic systems
n
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and within a team
n
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n

n

Desirable (but not essential)

n

- Food manufacturing or FMCG environments
n
- PLC fault finding (programming not required)
n
- Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
n
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
n
- Preventative maintenance programs or CMMS
n
