Genesis Legal Partners is a growing boutique law firm offering an excellent chance for an experienced Legal Secretary / Conveyancing Paralegal who is looking for a stable, long-term position with genuine responsibility and career growth.

This is a key support role within the firm. You will be involved in the day-to-day management of conveyancing matters, client communications, file administration, and office operations, helping ensure matters progress smoothly from commencement through to settlement.

About the Role

n

This role has a strong focus on conveyancing support, combined with legal administration and client service responsibilities.

n

You will be a central point of contact within the firm, assisting clients, coordinating matters, maintaining files,



and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of legal matters and office workflows.

n

The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, personable, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Minimum 2 years' conveyancing experience (essential)
n
- Previous experience as a legal secretary, conveyancing assistant, paralegal, or similar legal support role
n
- Strong understanding of residential conveyancing processes and procedures
n
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
n
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Skilled written and verbal communication skills
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
n
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to work
n
- High level of accountability, reliability, and professionalism
n
- Strong computer skills, with LEAP experience highly regarded
n
- Satisfactory police check prior to commencement
n

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the management of residential conveyancing files from commencement through to settlement




n
- Prepare contracts for sale and supporting documentation
n
- Liaise with clients, real estate agents, brokers, lenders, and other parties involved in transactions
n
- Coordinate key dates, settlement requirements, and file progression
n
- Conduct file checks and ensure documentation is complete and compliant
n

n

Client Service & Communication

n

n
- Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and direct enquiries appropriately
n
- Manage client communications via phone and email
n
- Schedule appointments and maintain solicitor calendars
n
- Provide clients with updates regarding the progress of their matters
n
- Deliver a high standard of client service and professionalism at all times
n

n

Administration & Office Support

n

n
- Open, maintain, and close legal files
n
- Prepare correspondence, forms, and legal documentation
n
- Manage electronic and physical filing systems
n
- Monitor incoming emails and correspondence
n
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and general practice administration
n
- Ensure accurate record keeping and file management
n
- Support solicitors with administrative and operational tasks as required
n

What We Offer

- Salary of $60,000–$75,000 (OTE) plus superannuation for the right candidate

- Full-time position (Monday to Friday)
