In this role you will be responsible for kitchen production operations in our busy CBD Lobby cafe , preparing breakfast and lunch cafe-style food, for dine-in and takeaway customers. The role also includes production for small catering orders.

Fossix is looking for an experienced and reliable Chef to join our team.

In this role you will be responsible for kitchen production operations in our busy CBD Lobby café , preparing breakfast and lunch café-style food, for dine-in and takeaway customers. The role also includes production for small catering orders for corporate clients in the building. Over-time opportunities are also available when we host after-hours corporate events.

About the Role

n

- 38 hours per week
n
- Commence as casual contract with prospect to become full-time
n
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience + applicable penalty rates
n
- Monday to Friday roster - No weekends or evenings.
n
- Opportunity for additional paid hours through "after hours" events and functions
n
- Manage all daily kitchen operations independently, supported by a kitchen hand.
n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare and serve fresh café style menu items
n




- Independently manage kitchen workflow and daily production
n
- Producing catering orders to a high standard
n
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
n
- Monitoring stock levels and minimising waste
n
- Supporting menu development and seasonal specials
n
- Daily ordering
n
- Reporting to the cafe ownerPrevious experience as a Chef or similar role
n
- Must have food safety supervisor accreditations - CERT IV preferred
n
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
n
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
n
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
n
- Reliable, organised and proactive
n
- Excellent attention to detail and presentation
n
- Availability to work occasional after-hours events
n
