cohealth is a not-for-profit community health organization delivering health and support services across Melbourne's CBD, northern and western suburbs, and the East Coast of Tasmania. With an ambitious strategic plan, cohealth is focused on improving health and wellbeing for all, tackling health and social inequality in partnership with the people and communities it serves. Its people are committed to delivering high-quality healthcare, protecting human rights and creating meaningful community impact. The Finance and Corporate Services function is central to this mission, providing financial stewardship, governance, assurance and organizational foundations that enable cohealth to remain resilient, sustainable and ready for the future.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and operating as a member of cohealth's Leadership Hub, the Executive - Finance and Corporate Services is a key enterprise leadership position responsible for cohealth's financial sustainability, governance and corporate infrastructure. As principal financial adviser to the Chief Executive and Board, you will lead finance, payroll operations, procurement and contract administration, property, assets and fleet, insurance, enterprise risk and internal audit. You will shape financial strategy, oversee organisation-wide budgeting, forecasting and reporting, and provide the analysis and advice that supports sound strategic and investment decisions. Beyond traditional finance leadership, you will strengthen enterprise risk and assurance,
drive effective stewardship of assets and resources, and build a contemporary business partnering approach that strengthens financial accountability and capability across cohealth.
You will be an accomplished senior finance executive with experience leading within a complex, multi-program and multi-site environment and the credibility to influence CEOs, Boards and senior leaders. A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline and CA or CPA qualification are essential, supported by substantial capability across financial strategy, governance, reporting, internal controls, enterprise risk, internal audit and organisational assurance. Experience within government-funded, health, community, not-for-profit or service delivery environments will be highly regarded, alongside exposure to property, assets or procurement portfolios. You will bring strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear choices and action. Equally important will be your cooperative leadership style, ability to build financial confidence among non-finance leaders, and genuine alignment with cohealth's values, mission and commitment to stewarding resources for the benefit of communities experiencing inequality.
