First Line Engineering is seeking a reliable Labourer/Trade Assistant to join our growing team due to a strong pipeline of work across South East Queensland.

n

First Line Engineering is a structural steel fabrication and installation company delivering commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects throughout South East Queensland. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, safety, and delivering projects on time.

The Role

n

Working within our Yatala workshop, you will provide general support to our tradesmen and fabrication team to help keep the workshop organised and production moving efficiently.

n

Your duties will include:

n

n
- Sorting, organising and preparing steel and materials for fabrication.
n
- Material handling and moving steel throughout the workshop.
n
- Loading and unloading trucks and deliveries.
n
- Processing and preparing steel, including grinding, cleaning and surface preparation.
n
- Assisting tradesmen with fabrication and general workshop activities.
n
- Completing local pick-ups and deliveries as required.
n
- Organising materials, consumables and work areas.
n
- Using hand and power tools for general workshop tasks.
n




- Maintaining a clean, safe and productive workshop.
n
- General labouring and assisting with other tasks as required to support the fabrication team.
n

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who is happy to get involved and help wherever required to keep the workshop running efficiently.

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Previous experience in a steel, fabrication, manufacturing or construction environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
n
- Current manual driver's licence.
n
- Forklift licence.
n
- MR licence.
n
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
n
- Physically capable of undertaking general workshop and material handling duties.
n
- Reliable, punctual and motivated.
n
- Positive initiative and willingness to learn.
n
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
n
- Commitment to workplace safety
