Jaydo is a Victorian civil construction contractor delivering water, sewerage, drainage and related infrastructure works across Victoria. Our Urban Development team works across subdivision, council and civil infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on practical delivery, quality outcomes and long-term relationships.

We are looking for a motivated Graduate Engineer – Urban Development to join our team and support the delivery of drainage and civil works across subdivision and council projects.
n
This is a great prospect for someone early in their engineering career who wants to learn how civil construction works in the real world, not just from behind a desk.

About the role
n
As a Graduate Engineer in our Urban Development department, you will work closely with an Area Manager, Engineers, Supervisors and site teams to learn and support the delivery of civil drainage projects.
n
You will be exposed to the full project environment, including planning, site coordination, documentation, subcontractor and supplier coordination, quality, safety and project reporting.
n
The role will give you the opportunity to understand how drainage contracts are delivered within the subdivision and council space, while developing your practical construction knowledge and project delivery skills.

What you will be involved in

- Understanding project scopes, drawings, specifications and contract requirements
n
- Assisting with project planning and coordination
n
- Supporting site teams with day-to-day project requirements
n
- Learning the process of drainage construction in subdivision and council environments
n
- Assisting with procurement, materials, suppliers and subcontractor coordination
n
- Tracking project progress, costs, quality and documentation
n
- Supporting safety, environmental and quality requirements
n
- Communicating with supervisors, project teams and other stakeholders
n
- Learning how to identify and resolve practical delivery issues on site
n
n
This role will suit someone who is keen to get involved, ask questions, learn from experienced people and build a long-term career in civil construction.

- Practical and hands-on in their approach

- Willing to spend time on site and understand how work is delivered

- Organised and able to manage time effectively

- Reliable, curious and willing to take responsibility as they develop

While technical ability is important, we are particularly interested in someone with the right attitude. This role would suit a practical person who wants to understand how projects are built and is prepared to learn from the ground up.
