What you'll be doing
n
n
- Assisting with the safe transfer and positioning of patients across theatre, recovery and High Dependency Units
n
- Providing compassionate, person-centred support to patients who may be physically,
mentally or emotionally distressed
n
- Cleaning, preparing and maintaining operating rooms, surgical instrumentation and equipment
n
- Preparing and positioning equipment prior to procedures to ensure efficient theatre turnaround
n
- Operating industrial equipment and cleaning chemicals in line with safe work practices
n
n
Selection Criteria:
n
n
- Ability to demonstrate experience in patient transportation and positioning within an Operating Suite and ability to adapt to the demands of a Perioperative environment.
n
- Sound knowledge of Operating Suite equipment and maintenance.
n
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety and Manual handling principles and requirements.
n
- Proven ability to communicate with a variety of patients, staff, and managers.
n
- Demonstrated experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
n
n
