We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians to join the maintenance team at a major gas-fired power station in the Hunter Region. This is a hands‐on maintenance role suited to mechanical tradespeople with strong experience across preventative, planned and corrective maintenance. This is not a construction-focused position - we are specifically looking for people with a solid background in mechanical maintenance.

About the Role

n

You will be responsible for carrying out scheduled and preventative maintenance activities to ensure mechanical equipment and systems remain safe, reliable and operational.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Completing planned and preventative mechanical maintenance activities
n
- Carrying out inspections, servicing, repairs and fault finding
n
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and identifying appropriate repairs
n
- Maintaining mechanical equipment in accordance with maintenance schedules and procedures
n
- Supporting breakdown and corrective maintenance activities as required
n




- Completing maintenance documentation and reporting
n
- Working safely and effectively as part of a wider maintenance team
n
- Following site procedures, safety requirements and quality standards
n

About You

n

We are looking for experienced Mechanical Technicians who have a genuine maintenance background.

n

You will have:

n

n
- Mechanical trade qualification
n
- Demonstrated experience in preventative and planned maintenance
n
- Previous experience working in an industrial, heavy industry, energy, manufacturing or similar maintenance environment
n
- Strong mechanical fault‐finding and troubleshooting skills
n
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation
n
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
n
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team
n

This is a maintenance-focused position. Candidates whose experience is primarily construction, installation or recent-build work without significant maintenance experience may not be suitable.
