Machinery / Excavator Operator – Demolition & Civil Works

Location: Deception Bay, Brisbane Northside Employment: Casual (full-time hours)

We are seeking an experienced Machinery Operator, preferably with solid Excavator experience, to join our demolition and civil works team.
n
The successful applicant will be confident operating machinery across a variety of demolition, earthworks and civil projects throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas.
n
About the Role
n
Your duties will include:
n
n
- Operating excavators and other machinery on demolition and civil sites
n
- Residential and commercial demolition
n
- Detailed demolition and strip-out works where required
n
- Site clearing and clean-ups
n
- Bulk and detailed earthworks
n
- Excavation and trenching
n
- Loading trucks and sorting demolition materials
n
- Concrete and hardstand removal
n
- Preparing and levelling sites
n
- Working safely around existing structures and services
n
- Completing daily machinery pre-starts
n
- Assisting the site team when required
n
- Following SWMS, site procedures and WHS requirements
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
We are looking for someone who:
n
n
- Has proven experience operating excavators
n
- Has experience within demolition and/or civil construction
n
- Is confident operating machinery safely in confined or detailed work areas
n
- Can work independently and as part of a team
n
- Takes pride in looking after machinery and equipment
n
- Is reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic
n
- Understands workplace health and safety requirements
n
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
- Excavator / relevant machinery operating experience
n
- Construction White Card
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence
n
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
n
- Full Australian working rights
n
n
The following would be highly regarded:

- Demolition experience
n
- Civil construction experience
n
- HR or higher truck licence
n
- Asbestos awareness/removal qualifications
n
- Experience operating multiple types of machinery
n
- Relevant tickets and licences
n
n
