This is a hands-on mid-level leadership role where you will oversee daily production activities, lead a team of up to 10 casual employees and help ensure our production area operates safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Haars Nursery is looking for a Production Area Supervisor to join our Lyndhurst team. This is a hands-on mid-level leadership role where you will oversee daily production activities, lead a team of up to 10 casual employees and help ensure our production area operates safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About the role

n

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day production activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, organisation, productivity and continuous improvement.

n

You will work closely with the Production Manager and other leaders to ensure production targets are achieved and the area remains clean, organised and running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

n

- Planning and coordinating daily production activities.
n




- Monitoring workflow and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
n
- Maintaining clean, organised and secure work areas.
n
- Ensuring all production processes and quality standards are followed.
n
- Completing regular production updates and communicating progress with the Production Manager.
n
- Working collaboratively with other supervisors to achieve business objectives.
n
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with WHS procedures.
n

About you

n

We are looking for someone who is confident leading people and can balance getting the job done with maintaining a positive, safe and productive team environment.

n

You will ideally have:

n
- 3+ years' experience in a Production Supervisor or similar leadership role.
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
n
- The ability to prioritise, multitask and work to deadlines.
n
- Excellent communication and people leadership skills.
n
- The ability to work with multiple stakeholders and coordinate competing priorities.
n
- Experience implementing and supporting change within a workplace.
n
- Strong attention to safety, quality and workplace standards.
n
- A Certificate IV in Horticulture or equivalent would be highly regarded.
n
- Experience in horticulture, nursery production or manufacturing would be advantageous, but industry experience is not essential.
n
