The company is a high-growth, globally integrated FinTech and digital asset infrastructure leader. Operating at the intersection of modern payment processing, FX liquidity, and global banking architecture, they process massive daily transaction volumes across international markets.

To support the expansion of their global footprint, they are seeking a hands‑on, agile (Senior) Financial Accountant to join their Melbourne team.

About the Role

This is a full-function, high-visibility role offering broad horizontal exposure across global finance operations. You will take ownership of daily accounting, month-end closing, and high-volume reconciliations while working across multiple international entities.

This role is ideal for a candidate strong in core accounting or reconciliations who is eager to broaden their exposure to international tax, consolidation, and treasury operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Operations & Close: Lead weekly/monthly closing routines, General Ledger management, and high-volume bank/platform reconciliations across international entities.
- Reporting & Consolidation: Support group consolidation routines and the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages.
- Tax & Payroll Support: Assist with local and international tax reporting, policy implementation, compliance,



and payroll coordination.
- Process Improvement: Identify efficiencies in reconciliation workflows and transaction processing as global volumes scale.
- Treasury & FX (Scope to Learn): Support liquidity monitoring and gain exposure to hedging and treasury management as the business grows.

Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive financial accounting experience.
- Industry Background:
- Ideal: Cards, Payments, FX/Liquidity, Crypto/Exchanges, or Banking.
- High-Value Alternative: High-volume, quick-moving environments (e.g., E-commerce, Tech, Logistics).
- Core Competencies: Strong grounding in month-end close, reconciliations, or GL accounting, with the drive and aptitude to pick up tax, treasury, and consolidation functions.
- Languages: Bilingual fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is required to communicate effectively with international teams and stakeholders.
- Work Rights: Must hold valid local Australian working rights (No visa or relocation support)
