The Role

n

As an Auto Electrician at Vacvator, you'll work hands‐on in our clean, modern workshop installing, testing and maintaining electrical systems across our range of vacuum excavation units.

n

You'll play a key role in:

n

- Installing electrical systems and components on our manufactured units
n
- Completing servicing and electrical repairs on vacuum excavation equipment
n
- Assisting with diagnostics and fault‐finding as required
n
- Supporting continuous improvement and safe work practices in the workshop
n

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Install and connect 12/24V electrical systems on new vacuum excavation trucks and related equipment
n
- Assemble current vacuum excavation trucks and related equipment to specification
n
- Carry out scheduled servicing, repairs and electrical maintenance on Vacvator units
n
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and rectification of electrical faults
n
- Install and test wiring, control systems, lighting, sensors, cameras and associated components
n
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet production and service deadlines
n
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
n
- Follow all WHS policies and procedures
n

What We're Looking For

n

Qualifications & Experience

n

n




- Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician or equivalent
n
- Experience installing, servicing and repairing automotive CAN bus systems
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude
n
- Strong willingness to work, learn and contribute as part of the workshop team
n
- Experience working with trucks, mobile plant, hydraulics or heavy equipment highly regarded
n

This role is ideal for an Auto Electrician who enjoys hands‐on production work and would be interested in contributing to the assembly of our vacuum units.
