Job Description

Fetch Recruitment is looking for experienced civil labourers for multiple long-term projects across Melbourne's western suburbs and out to Geelong.

This is, ongoing casual work right through to Christmas (and likely beyond), with positive pay, daily allowances, and a real chance to move into machinery if you're keen.

The work

n

n
- You'll be working on live civil sites helping subcontractors and supervisors.
n
- Concreting, drainage, and stormwater works
n
- Trenching and installing electrical and NBN conduits
n
- General site duties: setup, fencing, flagging, moving materials
n
- Landscaping - mulching, planting, retaining walls
n
- Spotting machinery and working as part of a crew
n
- Operating machinery (roller, loader, moxy, etc.) if you've got the tickets
n
- Sites are spread across Melbourne's west, north west, and out to Geelong, so you'll need your own reliable transport and be okay with travelling within this area.

What's on offer

- Pay: $38.74/hour (for candidates with civil experience)
n
- Travel allowance: $22.41 per day
n
- Meal allowance: $19.74 (after 9.5 hours worked)
n
- Steady hours - consistent work through to Christmas
n
- Daily overtime when available
n
- Pathway into plant – roller, loader, moxy, etc. with training and support for the right people
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- 6–12+ months of recent civil labouring experience (pipe-laying, drainage, concreting, etc.)
n
- Available to start straight away
n
- White Card (must have)
n
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n
- Must be able to provide valid and up to date work references
n
- Happy to do drug & alcohol testing
n
- Plant/machinery tickets are a bonus.
