We are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join a support team in Dee Why NSW 2099.

About The Role:
n
n
- Providing support to a male participant (8 years old) – a valid Working with Children Check is mandatory.
n
- Assisting with community access and participation in activities.
n
- Supporting the participant during walks and outings, providing gentle guidance and physical assistance when required.
n
- Encouraging confidence, independence, and engagement in meaningful activities.
n
- Providing personal care and domestic assistance.
n
- Supporting safe routines while promoting the participant's wellbeing and development.
n
n
About You:
n
n
- Female (preference).
n
- Experience supporting children with Autism and/or vision impairments.
n
- Patient, calm, soothing communication, and gentle in your approach.
n
- Confident providing physical support when required.
n
- Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with families and support teams.
n
- Reliable and committed to providing consistent support.
n
- Understanding of sensory sensitivities and strategies to support emotional regulation.
n
n
Shifts Available (Ongoing):
n
n
- Tuesday: 5:00pm – 7:00pm (2 hours per week).
n
n
What We're Looking For:
n
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Disability Support Worker.
n
- Experience supporting children with Autism, sensory needs, or vision impairments.
n
- Ability to provide personal care, domestic assistance, and social support.
n
- Proactive approach to supporting clients to achieve goals and maintain community participation.
n
- Strong English communication skills.
n
- Physically capable of providing safe mobility support and assisting with community access.
n
- Ability to build rapport with children and create a positive, supportive environment.
n
n
What You'll Be Doing:

- Providing support with personal care and daily living activities.
n
- Assisting with domestic tasks.
n
- Supporting community access and participation.
n
- Encouraging protected mobility and confidence while walking.
n
- Assisting the participant to maintain independence within daily routine.
n
- Working collaboratively with family members and the broader care team.
n
- Providing practical support tailored to the participant's individual needs.
n
- Following care plans and maintaining accurate documentation.
n
n
Compliance Requirements:
n
n
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (Service NSW).
n
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.
n
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).
n
- Full Australian driver's licence and own car.
n
- Comprehensive car insurance.
n
n
