We are partnered with a South Island owned and operated civil contractor looking for a Site Engineer to be based in Canterbury.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Manage logistical processes for a safe and efficient outcome for all projects.
n
- Plan and schedule work procedures to ensure projects are undertaken efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.
n
- Provide assistance to site staff by interpreting and carrying out directions for planning and construction site organising.
n
- Interpret plans, regulations and codes of practice to direct progress of the work, making sure that specifications and regulations are followed, and proper methods and materials are used.
n
- Interpret plans, supervising and directing people working on the project.
n
- Assist with costs and payments and negotiation with clients and subcontractors.
n
- Record construction progress and variations from the design drawings or specifications.
n
- Project quality assurance documentation and project reports.
n
- Communicating with subcontractors regarding project and contract requirements.
n
n
What we Require:
n
n
- Ability to work under pressure with a positive approach to change.
n
- Organisational and time management skills with the ability to apply initiative to problem solving.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and business awareness.
n
- Hold an NZCE, diploma or degree qualification in Civil Engineering or similar.
n
- Experience working as a site engineer on civil construction projects.
n
