n Remuneration: $73,915.12 – $76,218.80 per annum, pro rata (+ super + 17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About the Opportunity
n
As the Clinical Support Officer, you will be responsible for:
n
n
- Assisting with workforce matters including rostering, leave and payroll, and data entry for unit rosters into relevant IT systems.
n
- Assisting with recruitment activity, including creating Approval to Recruit / Temporary Contract requests, sourcing agency staff as directed, and ensuring interviews are arranged in a timely manner.
n
- Supporting the replacement of unplanned leave as directed, seeking guidance from the manager on skill mix requirements.
n
- Participating in data entry activities relating to patient care and assisting in the production of reports on finance and quality parameters/indicators.
n
- Supporting the administrative aspects of quality and safety audits, accreditation and incident management, and ensuring the unit has adequate stock of medical supplies and equipment.
n
- Undertaking administrative tasks related to unit meetings, including scheduling, preparing documents and progressing action items.
n
- Monitoring nurse and midwife registration and enrolment, coordinating student clinical placements, and organising travel and accommodation for unit staff as required.

About You
n
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
n
n
- Holds, or is willing to undertake, a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent.
n
- Excellent written, verbal and digital communication skills, including accurate spelling and the confidence to deal courteously with people at all levels.
n
- Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure, high volume work setting.
n
- A demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and a person-centred approach.
n
- Capacity to work under broad supervision and undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team.
n
- A current Class C driver's licence and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes, which may involve driving long distances within MLHD.
n
- National Police Check
