Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Joinery Apprentice to join one of our host employers in Gregory Hills, NSW.

No experience? No problem. If you have a great attitude, an eye for detail and a willingness to learn, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing
n
Working alongside qualified tradespeople,
you'll learn how to:
n
n
- Manufacture and assemble joinery products, cabinetry and fittings.
n
- Read and interpret plans, drawings and measurements.
n
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other materials.
n
- Safely use hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery.
n
- Assist with the construction and installation of cabinets, doors, fixtures and other joinery products.
n
- Prepare materials and components for assembly.
n
- Follow workplace safety procedures and industry standards.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
n
- Work collaboratively as part of a skilled team.
n
n
About You
n
We're looking for someone who is motivated, reliable and ready to build a long-term career in the joinery industry.
n
To be successful, you'll have:

- A genuine interest in joinery and working with your hands.
n
- Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
n
- A strong work ethic and reliable attitude.
n
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
n
- Good communication and practical problem-solving skills.
n
- A current P1 or above driver's licence.
n
- Must be willing and able to travel to Unanderra Tafe to complete the required Certificate III in Joinery training.
n

Eligibility
n
Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents to be eligible for this apprenticeship.
