Agricultural Contractor – Tractor Operator / Hay, Seeding, Spreading & Spraying

Hours: Variable – minimum 40 hours per week (seasonal peaks expected)

About the Role CS Engineering and Agriculture is seeking a reliable and experienced tractor operator / agricultural contractor to join the team, based out of Kilmore.

n

This is a hands-on role focused on:

n

Hay contracting (mowing, raking, baling) Seeding Fertiliser and lime spreading Boom and/or pasture spraying Hours will vary with the season and workload, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Expect longer days during peak periods (hay season, sowing, etc.).

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Operate tractors and associated agricultural machinery safely and efficiently
n
- Carry out hay contracting work (mowing, conditioning, raking, baling)
n
- Perform seeding, fertiliser/lime spreading and spraying operations
n
- Conduct daily pre-start checks,



basic maintenance and housekeeping of machinery
n
- Work independently or as part of a small team on client properties
n
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and any issues
n
- Follow all safety, chemical and environmental requirements
n

Skills & Experience Required

n

n
- Previous experience in agricultural contracting or farm machinery operation (tractor, hay equipment, seeders, spreaders, sprayers)
n
- Competent and confident tractor operator
n
- Understanding of protected chemical handling and spray application practices (ChemCert or equivalent preferred)
n
- Ability to work long hours when required and adapt to changing weather and seasonal demands
n
- Reliable, practical, and able to work with minimal supervision
n
- Current driver's licence (HR preferred but not essential)
n
- Own transport essential
n
