We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts & Administration Assistant to join our team in Perth or Bunbury.
n
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role supports the finance and administration functions across multiple business units, providing exposure to a broad range of financial and operational activities. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, and general administration while working closely with managers and stakeholders across the organisation.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Accounts Payable
n
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and in a timely manner.
n
- Maintain supplier records and respond to supplier queries professionally.
n
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
n
- Prepare weekly payment batches in accordance with approved payment terms.
n
- Complete monthly supplier reconciliations to ensure payment accuracy and integrity.
n
- Liaise with suppliers regarding invoice discrepancies and payment matters.
n
- Manage the end-to-end invoice workflow, including receipt, approval tracking, and general ledger coding.
n
n
Payroll Administration
n
n
- Assist with the accurate and timely processing of payroll.
n
- Maintain confidential employee payroll records and process employee changes.
n
- Support compliance with applicable awards, legislation, and payroll deadlines.
n
- Work closely with HR and management on payroll-related matters.
n
n
Finance & Administration Support
n
n
- Assist with month-end processes, account reconciliations,
and general ledger maintenance.
n
- Maintain accurate, organised, and audit-ready financial records.
n
- Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager and wider business.
n
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support efficient approval and payment processes.
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
n
- Support the organisation's goals, values, and commitment to operational excellence.
n
n
About you
n
n
- At least 3 years' experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or a similar finance role.
n
- At least 3 years' payroll processing experience.
n
- Strong working knowledge of Xero or a similar accounting system, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting.
n
- Experience using Employment Hero Payroll or a similar payroll platform.
n
- Sound understanding of payroll compliance requirements.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
n
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
n
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach.
n
- High levels of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
n
- Experience working in a small to medium-sized business environment.
n
- Understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and employment compliance requirements.
