Your new company Our client is a well-established and growing food service distributor with a long-standing presence across Queensland. Supplying fresh, frozen, and dry goods to customers across hospitality, healthcare, retail, education, and food service sectors, they are known for their commitment to customer service and strong workplace culture. They are now seeking a motivated merchandiser to join their Townsville team in a part-time, field-based role.

Your new role Working closely with the Sales Team, you will play a key role in ensuring products are presented to the highest standard across customer sites throughout the wider Townsville region. This is a hands-on role focused on product visibility, customer engagement, and maintaining solid relationships with retail and commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

- Building and maintaining positive customer relationships
n
- Managing product displays, stock levels, stock rotation, ticketing, and presentation
n
- Taking orders and responding to customer enquiries
n
- Promoting new products and special offers
n
- Identifying sales opportunities and communicating them to the wider sales team
n
- Travelling locally throughout the Townsville region with no overnight travel required
n




- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
n

What you'll need to succeed

n

n
- Previous experience in merchandising, retail sales, food service, FMCG, or a similar customer-focused role
n
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
n
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
n
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own schedule
n
- Confidence using technology and Microsoft Office applications
n
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence
n
- Professional presentation and a positive, can-do attitude
n
- Good physical fitness, with the ability to undertake regular lifting, bending, squatting, and carrying throughout the day
n
