We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Café Manager to lead our front-of-house team, oversee daily café operations, and work collaboratively across our whisky, chocolate, retail, and functions departments.

n

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced workplace, enjoys developing people, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

About the Role

n

You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our café and front-of-house team, including:

n

Leading, supervising, and developing a team of approx. 14 staff.

n

Coordinating closely with the Kitchen Manager (Chef) and Functions Manager to ensure smooth cross-department operations

n

Supporting the Functions Manager with event preparation, staffing, and service delivery

n

Maintaining high standards of customer service, presentation, cleanliness, and safety

n

Managing opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and shift reporting

n

Ensuring compliance with RSA, WHS, food safety, and company policies

n

Assisting with rostering,



training, and operational planning

n

Monitoring stock levels, completing stock counts, and assisting with ordering.

n

This role requires weekend availability. A rotating roster over a fortnight can be accommodated.

What We're Looking For

n

Proven experience in hospitality management or senior supervisory roles

n

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team

n

Excellent communication and organisational skills

n

Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen, retail, and functions teams

n

A hands‐on approach and willingness to step into service when needed

n

High standards of customer service and presentation

n

Confidence managing busy service periods and resolving escalated customer issues

n

RSA certification (or willingness to obtain)
