Calvin Christian School is a co-educational, independent Kindergarten – Year 12 Christian school located in Kingston. Calvin Primary enrolments currently sit at around 390 students, the Secondary Campus (located just over the road) has an enrolment of 480 students.
Calvin is part of Christian Schools Tasmania (CST); an Association of Christians that owns and operates four Christian Schools in the Greater Hobart Area – Calvin Christian School, Channel Christian School, Emmanuel Christian School and Northern Christian School. Each school has a Principal who is responsible for the educational leadership and management of the school.

The Prospect
- The Head of Learning Area - Science will be a member of the K-12 Curriculum Team and the Secondary Teaching and Learning Team; reporting to the Head of Teaching and Learning (Secondary). The HLA is responsible for the strategic leadership of the learning area which includes staff management, budgets and building on a culture of inquiry that promotes student learning and growth.

About You

- Demonstrate innovation and creativity to ensure the highest quality teaching and learning opportunities for students.
- Deliver the highest quality Christian education by intentionally partnering with parents in the nurture and education of all students.
- Demonstrate and develop the large suite of organisational abilities and tasks that are required to undertake the role of leading a Learning Area in a Christian school.

Essential Requirements
- A relevant teaching qualification.
- Registration with the Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board (or ability to obtain).
