An excellent opportunity has arisen for a junior Solicitor or Associate to join a highly regarded insurance litigation practice in Brisbane.
Working closely with an experienced Partner and a strong team of senior lawyers, you will gain exposure to a varied general liability practice while being given the opportunity to take increasing ownership of your matters as you develop.
This is a particularly good prospect for a junior lawyer looking to build strong technical foundations, gain direct client exposure and progress their career within a well-established insurance practice.
About You
You will have a minimum of 1 + years post admission experience and up to 3 years PAE, gained in defendant insurance matters.
- Experience in defendant insurance, general liability, personal injury or insurance litigation
- Strong drafting and analytical skills
- A commercial and practical approach
- An interest in developing a long-term career in insurance litigation
Candidates with broader litigation experience and a genuine interest in moving into insurance are also encouraged to apply.
The Role
The practice advises insurers and corporate insureds across a broad range of general liability matters, including:
- Public and product liability
- Personal injury and property damage claims
- Construction and contractor claims
- Work-related and mining claims
- Contractual indemnity disputes
- Complex liability and insurance disputes
You will be involved across the life of matters, including drafting advice and legal documents, liaising directly with clients, attending negotiations and mediations and assisting with court proceedings.
