Our client is a boutique paediatric private practice that’s grown steadily without losing its “small team” feel. They’ve placed a huge focus on longevity, not burning therapists out.
You’ll be joining a close-knit team of Occupational Therapists including multiple seniors and a wide range of experience and specialties.
Benefits:
- Salary from $80,000 - $115,000 + Super
- Strong recent graduate program (and just as welcoming for experienced clinicians)
- Full-time or part-time including a 4 day work week
- Gradual caseload build that’s tailored to you (they’d rather take a short-term hit than overload you)
- Joint sessions and hands-on support for early career OTs
- Weekly 1:1 supervision (more than once per week when you’re a new grad)
- Weekly team PD meeting
- Director is clinically hands-on and carries a caseload
- Training influenced by highly regarded international clinical expertise
- PD allowance included, with opportunities for face-to-face PD delivered by external clinicians
- Low KPI pressure and realistic expectations
About the role:
You’ll deliver mostly 1:1 sessions with children, using play-based, relationship-driven approaches. The practice is also expanding their social programs, with duos and trios, school holiday social groups, and an annual camp.
Therapy approaches you’ll see and develop in:
- Sensory integration
- Relationship-based play models
- Play-based therapeutic service delivery
Support available:
For new grads:
- Very gradual ramp-up (structured, not sink-or-swim)
- Joint sessions to build confidence and clinical reasoning
- 1:1 supervision weekly (often more initially)
- Constant access to support because the team is in the office together most of the time
- Weekly team PD meetings
For experienced OTs:
- Autonomy with strong clinical collaboration
- Opportunities to mentor, lead groups, and deepen skills in sensory integration and play-based models
- PD support (including specialist training opportunities)
Team culture:
The team makes a point of keeping the office vibe supportive, safe, and genuinely jovial. Expect occasional lunches and a team that values longevity and sustainability over unrealistic output.
Requirements:
- Full Australian working rights
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- AHPRA registration
