Queensland's rail network is entering a defining period of transformation. The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail program is a $5.75 billion investment that will increase capacity, improve reliability and unlock the next generation of passenger rail services across one of the state's fastest growing corridors. As Executive Director, you will lead its delivery at a pivotal stage, guiding a program that is central to the future of South East Queensland and a key infrastructure investment supporting the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Reporting to the General Manager, Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office, you will hold enterprise-level accountability for delivering outcomes across a complex portfolio of works that includes major corridor upgrades, station infrastructure, level crossing removals and network integration activities. The role carries significant influence across government, industry and the broader transport sector, requiring decisions that balance technical integrity, delivery certainty, operational continuity and long-term network performance.

Success will be measured not only by the safe and effective delivery of infrastructure, but by the enduring benefits it creates for communities, customers and businesses. Your leadership will help unlock network capacity, support more frequent and reliable services, strengthen connectivity between Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast, and ensure critical rail investments operate as an integrated system.

You will work across a highly complex delivery environment, leading the integration of Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail with concurrent transformational programs including ETCS Level 2, Cross River Rail, the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program and the Recent Gold Coast Stations projects. The scale of coordination, stakeholder influence and strategic judgement required is significant, with responsibility extending across commercial, governance, financial, engineering and delivery considerations.

This appointment calls for a senior executive with substantial experience delivering major rail or transport infrastructure programs in live operational environments. You will bring credibility at the highest levels, an ability to navigate competing priorities and complex interfaces, and a demonstrated capacity to lead large programs through critical phases of delivery while maintaining strong partnerships across government and industry.

For an accomplished executive, this is a career-defining opportunity to lead infrastructure of enduring public value. The decisions made in this role will shape the performance, resilience and capability of Queensland's rail network for decades, creating outcomes that extend well beyond project completion and delivering a lasting contribution to the way people move across the state.

Applications will remain current for a period of 12 months.
