We are currently looking for an Estimator in the Construction / Residential - Apartments / Houses in the Sydney Metro Area.

Our client is an exciting and growing, family owned residential builder/ low rise apartments.
Their focus is on attention to detail and high quality homes, apartments, don't build for home owner clients, building houses/ apartments to bring to the market for purchase. Main aim to design and construction family dream homes or apartments in desirably locations in Sydney.

To be successful, you must be a quick learner, a quick thinker and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Qualifications & experience

- Previous experience in Estimating or Construction Administration
- Knowledge in Buildxact would be ideal, applicate to have experience using this program
- Minimum 4 + years Experience

Job tasks and responsibilities

- Prepare detailed cost estimates by analysing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades. Be technically savvy. Utilising on-screen take off software is a positive
- Develop and prepare conceptual estimates with minimal subcontractor assistance using limited preliminary design documents/information
- Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality




- Growth/compensation potential for the right candidate
- Interact with clients, architects, engineers and Local Jurisdictions to understand and incorporate project objectives, schedules, permits, costs, etc.

ABOUT YOU

- Relevant Industry Qualification or Cert 4 in Building and Construction
- A minimum of 4 + years of experience in the construction industry
- Good problem-solving skills with a solutions focused mindset
- Able to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work within and across various departments of estimating, with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently both autonomously & within a team environment
- Able to produce a high level of accurate work, with a great attention to detail
