The Role
At Airmaster, we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch HVAC & FIRE solutions to our clients.
Due to continued growth, we have an exciting chance for a multi-skilled Fire Tester to join our team, based in Sydney Metro.
The role of the Multi-Skilled Fire Tester is to test and inspect portables, passive fire doors, fire detection systems, fire panels, emergency exit lights, sprinkler systems and hydrant systems, when required, as defined under Building Code of Australia and other statutory authorities.
The successful candidate will also be required to effectively undertake programmed maintenance inspections and related works as directed.
Key Competencies
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:
- Strong knowledge and experience in monthly and annual testing & inspecting of fire panels, EWIS systems and fire detection as per AS1851-2012
- Strong knowledge and experience in monthly and bi-annual testing & inspecting of sprinkler and hydrant systems (including fire pumps) as per AS1851-2012
- Knowledge of bi-annual and annual testing of fire doors, portable and passive assets (advantageous)
- Minimum of 3 years industry experience
- A strong knowledge of all relevant Australian Standards
- Be a proactive member of the team and have ability to work unsupervised in a team environment
- Reliable, self-motivated, and well presented
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to plan and complete work in an efficient manner
- Strong commitment to safe work practices is essential
- Valid driver’s license
