About the role
As an Occupational Therapist at Steps2Life, you will provide evidence-based, person-centred support tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing functional assessments and developing individualised therapy plans
- Delivering practical, goal-focused therapy to improve independence and participation
- Supporting clients with daily living skills, sensory needs, emotional regulation, motor development and community participation
- Preparing clear and timely reports, progress notes and recommendations
- Collaborating with families, carers, educators, support coordinators and other health professionals
- Participating in case discussions and multidisciplinary care planning
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and meeting relevant professional and compliance requirements
Senior Occupational Therapists may also have opportunities to provide clinical mentoring, support junior team members, contribute to service improvement and take on additional leadership responsibilities.
About you
We’re looking for people who are approachable, reliable and genuinely passionate about helping clients achieve meaningful outcomes.
You will have:
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A person-centred and evidence-based approach
- The ability to manage a caseload and clinical documentation effectively
- A current Working with Children Check
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
- A current Australian driver’s licence and access to reliable transport
Experience working with NDIS participants is highly regarded. However, Occupational Therapists at different stages of their careers are encouraged to apply.
