Service Advisor – NQ Auto Group, Townsville

NQ Auto Group is on the hunt for a Service Advisor who can talk cars, calm nerves, and make a Monday morning "it's-making-a-noise" phone call feel like a five-star concierge experience. If you love people, scrub up well, and get a genuine buzz from sorting problems before the customer's even finished explaining them — keep reading.

You don't need to know a camshaft from a crankshaft. Seriously. While some vehicle knowledge helps, we'll train you up properly — what we can't train is attitude, charm, and the knack for making someone feel like their car (and their day) is in positive hands.

As Service Advisor, you're the front line — the first smiling face, the calm voice on the phone, and the last handshake before they drive off happier than when they arrived. You'll translate "it's making a weird noise" into an actual job card, keep customers in the loop without ambushing them with a bill, and build the kind of trust that has them booking next year's service before they've left the car park.

You'll also get your hands into:

- Parts interpreting — playing detective with the parts team to track down exactly the right bit for the right job (bonus points if you can pronounce the part numbers without squinting)

- Warranty processing — wrangling claims and paperwork so manufacturers pay up on time,



because nobody enjoys chasing warranty money

- General workshop traffic control — keeping customers, technicians, and parts humming along in sync, like a conductor who also answers the phone

- Top-shelf customer service and a phone manner people actually enjoy

- Cool, calm and organised even when the workshop's flat out

- Confidence handling all sorts of customers and landing wins for everyone involved

- A relationship-builder — the type who remembers names, follows up, and makes people feel like more than a rego number

- Admin skills sharp enough that job cards and warranty paperwork don't spiral into chaos

- A current QLD C class manual driver's licence

- Comfortable on a computer — Pentana ERA experience is a bonus, not a deal-breaker
