Premier Commercial Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to join a Tier 1 ASX-listed organisation delivering critical water and utilities infrastructure across South East Queensland.

This role is based between the client’s Brisbane headquarters and the Sunshine Coast/Wide Bay region, with responsibility for leading projects from early design through construction and commissioning. The portfolio centres on STP upgrades, chlorine and chemical dosing systems, and associated water infrastructure works.

About the Role

You will take full ownership of project delivery, working closely with design consultants, client representatives, site teams and stakeholders to drive scope definition, design progression, construction execution and successful commissioning. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong commercial discipline, technical understanding of water infrastructure, and the ability to operate effectively across both office and regional environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of water and utilities projects, from design development through construction and commissioning

- Oversee STP upgrades, chlorine/chemical dosing systems and related treatment and network infrastructure

- Develop, manage and report on project budgets, cost forecasts and commercial performance

- Prepare and control detailed construction programmes, staging plans and short-term look-aheads

- Manage procurement, subcontractor engagement and full contract administration (variations, claims, EOTs)

- Drive rigorous safety, environmental and quality outcomes aligned with Tier 1 standards

- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams spanning engineering, site supervision and commercial functions





- Build and maintain constructive relationships with clients, regulators, landowners and other stakeholders

About You

You are a proven Project Manager with substantial experience in the water and utilities sector. You bring commercial strength, technical credibility and the ability to lead complex infrastructure delivery from the front end through to handover.

Essential requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

- Minimum 10 years’ experience in civil construction/project management, with demonstrated time as a Project Manager

- Proven track record delivering water, sewerage or utilities projects — STP upgrades, treatment works, dosing systems or similar highly regarded

- Experience leading projects from design stage through construction and commissioning

- Solid commercial acumen: cost control, forecasting, contract administration and programme management

- Ability to lead and mentor project teams with clear communication and decisive leadership

- Solid working knowledge of WHS, environmental and quality management systems

- Willingness to work across Brisbane HQ and Sunshine Coast project locations
