FULL TIME Development(Civil)Engineer Required

Permanent Full time 38 hours per week-$100,000-$130,000 per year plus Super

Wingecarribee Shire Council serves the Southern Highlands region of NSW located in Moss Vale, 2577 providing essential local government services and infrastructure.

We are seeking an experienced Development (Civil) Engineer to join our team and support development assessment, civil infrastructure and engineering compliance.

Key responsibilities:

· Assess residential, commercial, industrial and subdivision developments and provide civil engineering advice.

· Review civil engineering plans, drawings and specifications for roads, drainage, water, sewer, flooding and other infrastructure.

· Conduct site and certification inspections to ensure civil works comply with approved plans, specifications and engineering standards.

· Assess road, traffic, access, drainage and other civil infrastructure requirements for proposed developments.

· Apply relevant legislation, engineering codes and standards,



including AUS-SPEC, Austroads and Council requirements.

· Prepare technical reports and recommendations and assist with reviewing Council engineering specifications, policies and standard drawings.

Skills:

- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, preferably within local government, covering roads, pavements, drainage, flooding, in office detention, water, sewer and traffic engineering.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills

- Minimum Class C Driver’s Licence

Working Hours: 38 hours / per week

Work experience: Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience

Education/Skills:

Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Salary:$100,000-$130,000+ Superannuation
