About the role

Shoalwarra Couriers is seeking a casual HR driver to join our team at our Lake Illawarra NSW facility. As an HR driver, you will play a vital role in our road transport operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work within a agile logistics environment. Your responsibilities will include vehicle operation, route management, and maintaining professional standards during all deliveries.

Key responsibilities

- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with all relevant road transport regulations and company policies

- Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate package delivery to customers

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage and vehicle condition reports

- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and safe for operation

- Communicate professionally with customers and provide exceptional service during interactions

- Adhere to all health and safety requirements whilst operating vehicles

- Report any vehicle defects, accidents or incidents promptly to management

- Load and unload packages carefully to prevent damage and ensure efficient route completion

What we're looking for

- Current and valid Australian driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class being operated

- Proven experience as a driver in a courier, logistics or transport workplace





- Knowledge of road safety regulations and transport compliance requirements

- Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently

- Excellent communication and customer service abilities

- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions whilst on deliveries

- Physical capability to lift and handle packages safely

- Reliability and punctuality in meeting delivery schedules

- A clean driving record and commitment to secure driving
