About the role

This is an entry-level farm hand role on a broadacre dryland cropping farm 65 km north of Moree in northern NSW. You will work on a farm growing wheat, barley, chickpeas, sorghum and sunflowers, and also running a small Angus breeding herd. You will be working under the owner and 2IC along with casuals and contractors at planting and harvest times. On-the-job training is provided, with support for relevant trade, tertiary or online courses.

Key responsibilities

- Operating and maintaining tractors, sprayers, planters, harvesters, chaser bins and grain-handling equipment

- Cattle work

- Fencing

- General farm duties

About you

- Completed HSC

- Hold a driver's licence

- Sound maths skills

- Able to use GPS and computer screens

- Able to keep accurate records

- Reliable, trustworthy, willing to learn, team-focused and confident with communicating

- Agricultural interest or experience would be an advantage
