As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will be the friendly face that greets clients and their pets, helping create a welcoming and supportive experience from the moment they arrive. Our reception team plays a very important role in the lives of our clients. You will often be the first person pet owners speak to during many stages of their pet's life — from the excitement of bringing home a new puppy or kitten, to times of stress when a beloved pet is unwell, and sometimes during difficult moments of grief. Compassion, empathy, and kindness are essential in this role.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting clients and their pets with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude

- Providing exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone

- Managing appointment bookings and clinic schedules

- Assisting clients with enquiries and providing clear information about services

- Processing payments and maintaining accurate client records

- Supporting the veterinary team to ensure the smooth daily running of the clinic

About you

- Previous reception or customer service experience is highly regarded.



Experience in a veterinary clinic is advantageous but not essential — we welcome applicants with strong reception experience from other industries who are eager to learn.

- Has a naturally personable and friendly manner

- Delivers A-grade customer service and genuinely enjoys helping people and their pets

- Is well presented, punctual, and reliable

- Is willing to go the extra mile for clients

- Shows compassion and empathy when supporting clients through both happy and difficult moments

- Can confidently follow established processes and procedures

- Is flexible and adaptable, understanding the natural ebbs and flows of a busy veterinary practice

- Remains calm and organised during busy periods

- Works well as part of a team while also being proactive and self-motivated
