Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM) is the Liquor wholesale division of Metcash. We are the largest wide range wholesaler to the independent liquor trade. About the Opportunity
This is a permanent full-time opportunity to join ALM's On-Premise team as a BDM, driving sales growth and expanding our customer footprint across Greater Sydney. You'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong customer partnerships, and providing ongoing support to help customers maximise the value of the ALM network.
Success in this role will come from developing trusted advisor relationships, delivering against key business objectives, and executing a disciplined territory management approach. Given the size of the territory and regular travel requirements, the ideal candidate will be based in or close to Sydney's Eastern Suburbs or Inner West, allowing them to effectively service customers across the region.
In this Role
- Building new business partnerships with customers using the ALM network.
- Develop and execute an effective call cycle and territory plan to maximise customer coverage, identify growth opportunities, and achieve sales objectives.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, collaborating to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes and drive business growth.
- Establish and nurture long-term customer relationships through exceptional service, support, and commercial partnership.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records within the CRM system, ensuring all customer interactions, opportunities, and account information are effectively managed.
- Monitor sales performance and market trends to identify opportunities that maximise supplier investment and contribute to overall business growth.
You're Likely a Match If
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Territory Manager or similar field-based sales role, with a strong understanding of the On-Premise liquor channel.
- Knowledge of liquor categories, products,
market trends, and consumer segments.
- Demonstrated customer-focused approach, with a track record of building strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
- Proven ability to identify and secure recent business opportunities while growing existing customer relationships.
- Strong territory management and planning skills, with the ability to effectively manage call cycles and prioritise opportunities.
