The Glimpse team is growing, and we’re looking for a confident, organised and motivated Showroom & Administration Assistant to join our team full time.
At Glimpse, we work with an incredible range of products including window furnishings, flooring, sanitaryware, outdoor kitchens, homewares and much more, helping our clients bring their homes and projects to life.
Working with builders, designers, renovators and retail clients across residential and commercial projects, this is a varied role combining showroom sales, client selections, quoting, client management and general administration.
This is a client-facing sales role, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships and helping clients find the right products for their projects. With training and support from our experienced team, you’ll learn to manage showroom enquiries, guide clients through selections, prepare and follow up quotes, and play an important role in converting opportunities into sales.
You’ll also be equally comfortable behind the scenes – organised, detail-focused and happy to assist with general administration and support the wider team with day-to-day tasks as required.
For us, attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as previous experience. We’re looking for someone who wants to develop their skills, take ownership and grow with the business.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming clients into our showroom and providing a friendly, professional experience
- Assisting with showroom sales enquiries from initial contact through to quote and follow-up
- Conducting showroom selection appointments
- Assisting clients with product selections, colours, finishes and options
- Learning our product range and recommending suitable products and solutions
- Preparing quotes across our product ranges
- Following up quotes, leads and sales opportunities
- Working towards sales goals and contributing to the overall performance of the showroom
- Managing client communication via phone, email and in person
- Building strong relationships with clients, builders, designers and industry partners
- Learning and confidently presenting our extensive product range
- Maintaining showroom presentation, displays, samples and product information
- Preparing and processing client documentation
- Updating client information and maintaining accurate records within our systems
- Assisting with general office administration and providing support to the wider team as required
- Assisting with day-to-day showroom and office operations
- Taking ownership of tasks and contributing ideas to continually improve our processes and client experience
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is confident, professional and personable
- Loves working with people and building genuine client relationships
- Has excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills
- Has a positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn
- Is proactive and willing to use their initiative
- Takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion
- Is reliable, accountable and eager to develop
- Can manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Is comfortable using technology and learning new systems
- Works well both independently and within a team
- Has an interest in interiors, building, design and home improvement
- Is ambitious and interested in developing professionally and taking on greater responsibility over time
- Must be available to work approximately two Saturdays per month on a roster basis, with a weekday off provided in lieu
Previous experience in sales, customer service, administration, interiors or the building industry would be highly regarded, however, industry experience is not essential. Comprehensive product and systems training will be provided.
This could also be a fantastic opportunity for a recent university graduate or someone early in their career who is looking for a role where they can learn, develop and grow within a business.
More importantly, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude, strong people skills, initiative and drive to become an important part of our team.
