About the role

Bumpertech is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis at our Molendinar, QLD location. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing accurate cost assessments and detailed quotations for automotive repair and restoration services. As an Estimator, you will be the crucial link between our clients and our technical teams, ensuring that every project is properly evaluated, costed and communicated with precision. Your expertise will directly impact client satisfaction, project profitability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged or faulty vehicles to assess repair requirements and scope of work

- Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates and quotations for automotive repair, restoration and customisation projects

- Utilise industry-standard estimating software and tools to generate professional documentation and quotations

- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, explain repair options and present cost-effective solutions

- Liaise with workshop technicians and management to ensure estimates align with actual capabilities and timelines

- Research parts pricing, labour costs and market rates to maintain competitive and accurate quotations

- Review and validate completed repair work against original estimates to ensure accuracy and identify any variations

- Maintain detailed records of all estimates, quotations and project documentation

- Build and maintain positive client relationships through clear communication and professional service delivery

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as an Estimator or similar role within the automotive trades industry, preferably in vehicle repair or restoration

- Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle mechanics, repair procedures and automotive components





- Proficiency with estimating software and computer systems relevant to the automotive industry

- Robust attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, thorough assessments and quotations

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with clients and team members

- Solid understanding of parts pricing, labour rates and cost management principles

- Ability to prioritise multiple projects and manage workload effectively

- Problem-solving skills and the capacity to provide practical solutions within budget constraints

- A relevant qualification or certification in automotive trades, estimating or a related field would be advantageous
