About This Opportunity

The Senior Manager, ICT Vendor Risk & Contract Management is responsible for leading UQ's strategic ICT vendor risk, contract management and vendor governance functions, ensuring strong commercial outcomes, effective risk management and maximum value from technology investments.

The role is responsible for driving the maturity of contract, vendor and third-party risk management practices across the University through robust governance, supplier assurance, commercial optimisation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading contract and vendor management activities across strategic ICT suppliers and enterprise technology arrangements.
- Driving the ongoing maturity of ICT vendor risk and third-party risk management practices, including due diligence, assurance, compliance monitoring, and risk assessment activities.
- Providing high-level commercial, contractual, and vendor governance advice to the CIO and senior University stakeholders.
- Optimising technology investments across software, SaaS, cloud services, AI-enabled technologies, and emerging technology portfolios to maximise value and benefits realisation.

*As part of the remuneration for this position, your total package may include an annual market loading in addition to the base salary. This will increase your overall remuneration, depending on your skills and experience and will be discussed during the interview process.

About You

- Qualifications and training equivalent to a postgraduate degree in IT, business, law, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.




- Extensive experience in ICT contract management, vendor management, and strategic supplier relationship management.
- Demonstrated expertise negotiating and managing complex ICT contracts, commercial arrangements, renewals, and enterprise agreements.
- Robust knowledge of enterprise software, SaaS, cloud services, emerging technology agreements, and technology portfolio optimisation.
- Proven capability identifying, assessing, and managing commercial, contractual, operational, and third-party risks.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and delivering outcomes within large and complex organisations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to present advice credibly and persuasively.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing staff while fostering a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
